Hello, I am Lorenzo
Project manager. Parent. Expat currently living in Rome, Italy.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn't in the long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were overwhelming — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and plenty of learning on the fly. Yet gradually routines settled in. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began crafting something that felt steady.
Why I Built RavelLuxindorqu
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Italy.
What This Site Is For (And What It Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a real change
This site is not:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in Italy continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Warm regards,
Lorenzo
